The Pro Tools Post-production Expert Program trains students to operate a Avid (Digidesign) Pro Tools System at a professional, fast-paced post-production environment at an above-average skill level.

Exam Requirements for Certification

Upon successful completion of these classes, the student will qualify to take the computer class exams for the 101, 110, & 201 classes. Once these exams are passed, the student will be eligible to take the Avid (Digidesign) Pro Tools Post-production Operator exam. Once Operator Level Certified, student will be eligible for the Avid (Digidesign) Pro Tools Expert Exam. The Expert Exam is broken into two parts: a computer class exam and a hands on proficiency exam. Exams are scheduled by appointment once required classes are completed. Hands on Exam fee not included.

Equipment

Each student will be provided with a Pro Tools workstation for use during lecture/demonstration time. A Pro Tools Workstation consists of a computer, Pro Tools Software, Digidesign Hardware (LE or HD) various computer plug-ins, a MIDI Controller, and Headphones. A Pro Tools HD system and Avid Media Station will be provided and may be shared by up to 2 students for exercise projects in the 200 class series. A Pro Tools HD system, control surface, Avid Media Station, and other Digidesign Hardware will be provided for exercise projects in the 300 class series.
